How far do you drive to reach Collin County addresses?
From our yard at 6000 Split Trail Rd in east Plano, most Collin County addresses are a 15 to 50 minute truck ride. Plano, Murphy, Parker and Richardson are the shortest runs. Celina, Anna, Blue Ridge and Farmersville are the longest, so call early for same-day orders there.
Collin County is our home county. Drive times below are typical weekday times from our yard, not promises. Cities with their own page show the same figures there. Traffic on US-75 and the tollways can stretch any of them.

| Allen | US-75 north | 15–20 min |

Call (972) 812-6200Get quoteDo I need a county permit for a porta potty in unincorporated Collin County?
The Collin County septic (OSSF) program covers septic systems, not a pumped-out rental unit. County paperwork is usually about the project around the porta potty. Septic work goes through Collin County Development Services at (972) 548-5585. Large outdoor events outside city limits may need a mass gathering permit.
Collin County Development Services is at 4690 Community Ave. in McKinney. That office handles on-site sewage facility (OSSF) permits for unincorporated areas, Mon–Fri, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. If your city is not on the TCEQ list of authorized agents, Collin County is your septic permitting agent too.
Large events outside city limits may need a mass gathering permit. Ask the county early, and have your restroom and sanitation plan ready.
This is not legal advice. Call the county office for your exact address before you plan around it.
What should I do if my septic system fails on a rural Collin County lot?
If a septic system fails in unincorporated Collin County, a repair goes through the county OSSF program, and a new system needs a design from a Registered Sanitarian or Professional Engineer. That design, permit and install can take weeks. A porta potty on a 28-day rental with weekly service keeps the house usable meanwhile.

Most of our septic calls come from acreage homes in the north and east parts of the county. Septic lots must meet the county's minimum lot size; check with Collin County Development Services. Big lots mean long driveways, so tell us where the house door is.
- Call your septic company and Collin County Development Services about the repair permit.
- Call us for a 28-day rental. We bill on a 28-day cycle, and weekly service is included.
- Pick a level spot within about 15 feet of where our truck can park, close to the back door.
- When the new system passes inspection, call or text for pickup. Billing stops the day you ask.
Pickup is not automatic on long rentals. That surprised a lot of long-term renters in our 2026 call study, so we say it up front.
Can your truck reach farm roads and acreage in Collin County?
Our truck can reach most Collin County farm roads and acreage if the last 15 feet to the spot is firm and level. Blackland Prairie clay turns slick after rain, so we set units on gravel, concrete or a packed pad. Leave gates open or text the code, and mark the spot with a flag.
East and north Collin County still has plenty of gravel county roads, pipe gates and cattle guards. After a hard rain, the black clay sticks to tires and dollies. If the field is wet, we put the unit at the edge of the drive instead of the pasture.
- Gates: a standard unit is 43.5 inches wide. A walk gate needs at least 48 inches clear.
- Low-water crossings: tell us if your road floods. We will wait rather than drive through water.
- Locked ranch gates: text the code or leave the gate open. You do not need to be home.
- Wind: open fields catch spring gusts. Ask whether your spot needs a tie-down.
What toilet rules apply to farms and ranches?
Farms with 11 or more hand laborers in the field on a given day fall under OSHA 29 CFR 1928.110. The rule calls for 1 toilet and 1 handwashing facility for every 20 workers, placed within a quarter-mile walk. Crews that work 3 hours or less in the field that day are exempt.
Collin County still grows hay, wheat, nursery stock and pumpkins between the new subdivisions. Harvest crews move, so we can set units at the nearest spot a truck can reach. OSHA allows that when the field itself is too rough.
| Field crew size | Toilets (1928.110) | Handwashing stations |
|---|---|---|
| 11–20 | 1 | 1 |
| 21–40 | 2 | 2 |
| 41–60 | 3 | 3 |
Pair each toilet with a two-station hand wash sink. For harvest or show seasons, see our season-long rental guide. Read the rule at OSHA 1928.110.
Do you supply Collin County fairgrounds, park and show events?
Yes. We supply event units across Collin County, including private events at county-run venues like Myers Park & Event Center at 7117 County Road 166 in McKinney. Horse shows, garden shows and livestock events there run long days, so plan extra units and handwashing. Check venue rules first.

Long show days change the count. Our sizing method adds 1 unit per 100 guests when an event runs over 4 hours. Livestock and horse events also need handwashing near the barns.
- Plan headcount with the sizing calculator.
- Public events need at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit per cluster under ADA 213.2.
- Multi-day shows can add mid-event service. We quote that before you pay.
- See our event planning guide for church, school and park events.

Call (972) 812-6200Get quoteHow do builders order jobsite toilets in Collin County's growth towns?
Builders in Celina, Prosper, Anna, Princeton and Melissa order jobsite toilets by lot or by phase. Each unit bills on a 28-day cycle with weekly service. OSHA Table D-1 sets the count: 1 toilet for 20 or fewer workers, then 1 seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers.
New subdivisions in the north half of the county often have no paved streets yet. We set units where the truck can reach on the road base, not in the mud of the pad site. Free hasps and padlocks are available on request.
Weekly service runs on a route. Tell us if a concrete pour or framing crew will double your headcount that week. See our jobsite toilet guide for business accounts.
