How long does a truck take to reach Allen from your yard?
Allen is about 10 to 12 miles north of our yard at 6000 Split Trail Rd in east Plano. Our trucks take US-75 north and exit at Bethany, McDermott, Stacy or Exchange. Outside rush hour, the drive is about 15 to 20 minutes, so Allen orders fit well on same-day routes.

From our east Plano yard, Allen is one of our shortest runs. Morning calls from Allen often still make a same-day truck, Monday through Saturday, when a truck and unit are free.
What the driver needs on drop day
- A marked spot: cone, flag or ribbon.
- An open gate or a gate code. You do not need to be home.
- Level, firm ground within about 15 feet of where the truck parks.
- A backyard gate at least 48 inches wide. A standard unit is 43.5 inches wide.
The driver calls 30 to 60 minutes before arrival. We cannot promise an exact time, which is why weekend units come Friday. After rain we set units on the driveway or gravel, not the lawn. Read how same-day orders work before you call with a rush order.
Does Allen require a permit for a temporary event?
Allen issues Temporary Use Permits for sporting and religious events, parking lot sales, carnivals and food truck sites. The city asks for documents at least 14 days before the event, filed through Citizen Self-Service. Allen limits applicants to two special or temporary events per year, so plan a recurring event carefully.
The Allen permit office handles these at 305 Century Parkway. You can reach them at 214.509.4130 or permits@allentx.gov, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Read the city page on Allen Temporary Use Permits.
The city page does not set a restroom count. Ask the permit office what they expect for your crowd. We then size the order with our sizing calculator, which adds an accessible unit for public events.
A private backyard party usually needs no city permit. Your HOA may still have rules on how long a unit can stay visible. This is not legal advice.

Call (972) 812-6200Get quoteWhich toilet should a builder order for a new lot?
Builders in Allen usually need one standard construction unit per lot or crew. OSHA Table D-1 calls for 1 toilet for 20 or fewer workers. A 28-day rental includes weekly pump-out, cleaning and restock. Billing stops the day you call or text for pickup, not at month end.
Allen keeps adding homes, offices and retail along the US-75 and SH-121 corridors. Jobsite units come from our construction fleet, not the event fleet.
| Crew size | OSHA minimum (1926.51 Table D-1) |
|---|---|
| 20 or fewer | 1 toilet |
| 21 to 199 | 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers |
| 200 or more | 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 50 workers |
Ask for a free hasp and padlock on an open lot. Read more on our jobsite toilet guide and how 28-day billing works.

Can you set units in a parking lot near the event center?
Yes, with the lot owner's written OK. The 7,500-seat Credit Union of Texas Event Center draws crowds for games and concerts. For a watch party or tailgate on a private lot nearby, we set units on pavement, away from fire lanes and drive aisles, with room for a truck to service them.
Parking lots are good spots because pavement stays firm after rain. The catch is access. Our truck must pull close, and the units cannot block a fire lane, a handicap space or a drive aisle.
- Get the property manager's approval before you book.
- Tell us where cars will park during the event.
- For a public crowd, plan at least one wheelchair-accessible unit per cluster.
Ask for the free hasp and padlock if the units sit overnight before the event.
How early should I book for a July 4th party?
July 4th week is one of our busiest in Allen. The Allen USA Celebration falls that week, and many families host backyard parties at the same time. Holiday weekends fill our trucks fast, so book at least a week ahead. Our usual Wednesday deadline is often too late in holiday weeks.
Our normal rule is to book weekend events by Wednesday. Holiday weeks are tighter, so call earlier. We drop on Thursday or Friday and pick up after the holiday. The extra days cost nothing.

What will my quote show before I pay?
Your Allen quote lists every line before you pay: unit, rental period, delivery, pickup, servicing, sales tax and any rush charge. We add no fuel surcharge after the quote. In our 2026 review of 185 recorded calls, the most common complaint was an invoice higher than the quote.
You pay by card through a text or email link with e-signature. Churches, schools, government agencies and qualifying nonprofits with a valid Texas sales tax exemption certificate pay no sales tax. Send the certificate before you pay. Contractors can apply for a business account.
Cancel or reschedule free until 7 PM the business day before delivery. After that, a trip fee may apply. Same-day orders cancel free until the truck is dispatched. For typical market ranges, read our cost guide.
