How does a porta potty with a flush and sink work?
The unit carries its own fresh water. Guests press a foot pump to flush the bowl with clean water and a second foot pump to run the sink. Used sink water drains into the 60-gallon holding tank. No hose, outlet or plumbing is needed, so setup matches a standard unit.
- Flush: the foot pump rinses the bowl, so guests do not look down into the tank.
- Sink: the foot pump runs water with no hand contact. Soap and paper towels are stocked before delivery.
- Waste: toilet waste and sink water both go to the holding tank, and we pump it out at pickup or on a service visit.
Callers often call this "the one with a sink." It is the easiest way to give guests running water without a separate hand washing station.
How many guests can one deluxe unit handle?
Plan about 50 guests per deluxe unit; that is our office guidance. The 20-gallon sink tank covers about 400 hand washes, per the manufacturer. For bigger groups, add more deluxe units, pair them with standard units, or add a mid-event refill for long events.
| Event | Suggested setup |
|---|---|
| Bridal shower, 30 guests, 3 hours | 1 deluxe unit |
| Rehearsal dinner, 45 guests, 4 hours | 1 deluxe unit |
| Wedding, 120 guests, 6 hours, bar | Mix of deluxe and standard units, sized on the call |
| 2-day family reunion | Deluxe units + mid-event service |

A deluxe unit puts a flush and a sink in one 47-inch footprint. A standard unit plus a hand wash station gives 2 sink stations but no flush. In one call we reviewed, a deluxe unit with a sink was quoted about $290, while a standard unit plus a separate hand wash station came to about $368 ($293 + $75).
| Deluxe flushing unit | Standard unit + hand wash station | |

Which events is the deluxe flushing unit best for?
Weddings, bridal and baby showers, graduation parties and small family events where guests expect a flush and running water. Plan about 50 guests per deluxe unit. It also suits a home remodel when the household wants a sink outside the house for 2 weeks or more.

A deluxe unit is often the middle step between a standard unit and a trailer.

Does a deluxe porta potty need water or power hookups?
No. It needs no water hose, no outlet and no generator. The 20-gallon fresh tank feeds the foot-pump flush and the foot-pump sink. The driver needs level, firm ground about 15 feet or less from the truck, the same as for a standard unit.
That is the big difference from a restroom trailer, which needs a standard 110V/20A outlet or a generator plus a hose hookup or onboard tank. A deluxe unit also has no hitch and no trailer, so it fits in a driveway or side yard.
Is the deluxe flushing unit the right choice?
Yes, when guests want a flush and a sink and you plan about 50 guests per unit. The trade-offs: a 20-gallon sink tank (about 400 hand washes), 243 pounds of weight and a 47-inch width. A 48-inch gate leaves only about half an inch per side.
- Choose deluxe units for showers, small weddings and upscale events with up to about 50 guests per unit.
- Choose standard + sinks for big crowds where cost and count matter more than a flush.
- Choose a VIP restroom cabin for a porcelain toilet, vanity and light in one stall.
Tell us your gate width on the call. If it is tight, we place the deluxe unit in the driveway or side yard.
